Above is a photo from my very first shoot with my dear friend Kaylin Idora taken on my first visit to the New Orleans Burlesque Festival back in 2013! I have returned to the festival every year since then to perform, to be inspired by and connect with other performers, and to spend time in one of my favorite cities on earth. Attending the 2013 fest and making amazing new friends, seeing the caliber of the performers and receiving great support for my own work was a huge factor in my decision to relocate from London to the United States, so this festival will always have a very special place in my heart!
This year was my first time being offered the chance to compete in the festival's competition, and I could not be more honored (and proud!!) to have shared the stage with such an incredible line up of supremely talented women, AND to have taken the title of 1st Runner Up, or 'Princess of Burlesque'! I can't wait for next year!
